1. Capacity true to size

Not only is every Pelican Elite Cooler true to size, but many sizes are larger than advertised. The 50QT is really 52.87QT (50.03 liters) the 70QT is 72.42QT (68.53 liters) and so on.

2. Polypropylene exterior & interior

Polypropylene is an economical BPA free plastic with a variety of useful properties, including resistance to moisture absorption, fatigue resistance, and superior impact strength.*

3. Injection-molded coolers

The redesigned core sizes, 8QT, 14QT, 20QT, 30QT, 50QT & 70QT Elite Coolers, are injection molded vs. rotomolded. This manufacturing process results in coolers that are up to 30% lighter than their rotomolded counterparts. The injection-molded Elite Coolers, as well as the rotomolded Elite Coolers, are manufactured in Deerfield Massachusetts, USA.

4. Polyurethane foam insulation

This flexible yet rigid material produces the world-class chill factor of the Elite Cooler. The result is a two-inch thick, continuous layer of polyurethane insulation (the 20QT Elite Cooler has a one-inch thick layer of foam). No thin-wall sections, no cut-outs. Just one solid, molded, a thermal protective layer that’s sealed tight with a freezer-grade rubber gasket. View each size's expected ice retention here. 

5. Stainless steel hardware

The strength of stainless steel hardware stands up to corrosion better than aluminum hardware would. This means Pelican Elite Coolers are able to fight off salt, sand, and sun exposure for a lifetime.

6. Multi-colors

The injection-molded Elite Coolers are available in unique multi-colors. These coolers have an outer shell of one color and an inner shell of another. Many of these coolers are also available in colors that are not available from the competition.

7. Press & pull latches

No rubber latches here. These ABS** plastic latches are easy to use with one hand and won't pop open on their own, offering peace of mind when out in the field.

8. Raised rubber feet

Stay high and dry with the non-skid rubber feet, available on every hard-sided Pelican Elite Cooler.

9. Guaranteed for life

We think a lifetime warranty says a lot about the quality of our hard-sided Pelican Elite Coolers. We stand behind these coolers for as long as you own them. Five years is a long time, but not long enough, in our opinion.

10. Heavy-duty wheels

Finally, a well-insulated and durable cooler is available with wheels. Available in the 45QT and 80QT Elite Wheeled Coolers.
